Equestrian Vicotoria Press Release
PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars will be held later this month (March 24 - 26) at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, and it's shaping up to be another outstanding and not to be missed event with over 270 horses from all states of Australia coming to compete.
Entries in all classes are strong and many are up on previous years, especially in the young dressage pony classes which have nearly double the number of entrants from last year. The inaugural Jumping Grand Prix, sponsored by the ACE Group, will be held Friday afternoon with a field of 31 entries, including Melissa Froesch and Glenara Bollinger who were the Jumping Champion of Champions in 2008.
The Saddleworld Dressage and Jumping Masterclasses are being held on Saturday March 26 and are being presented by international stars Ingrid Klimke (German Olympian) and Greg Best (USA Olympian). They have created much interest and a large audience is expected. The PSI Mini-Masterclass presented by Ulf Moeller on Friday afternoon is another anticipated masterclass for the dressage devotees.
The CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle, being held Saturday night in the indoor, is always a drawcard and with riders such as Mary Hanna, Gitte Donvig, Heath & Rozzie Ryan, Maree Tomkinson and Chantal Wigan competing, an entertaining night is guaranteed !
Spectators planning to attend should note that gold tickets have already sold out and there has been steady demand for silver tickets. Advance ticket sales are only available from GPAC (ph. 5225 1200) until March 14, and then after that only available at the event itself.
