It is oxidized Aurigan bits that produce the distinctive and pleasant taste horses love. This particular taste encourages horses to chew and produce saliva which leads to the rapid acceptance of the Aurigan bit.
Aurigan is a special nickel-free alloy which, due to the inclusion of silicon, combines the oxidation advantages of pure copper with maximum strength. This is guaranteed by the unique formula and composition of Aurigan which exceeds the quality of the approved German Silver.
Sprenger Aurigan Bits ensure perfect harmony and satisfy the high demands of competition together with the expectations of ambitious leisure riders.

The original KK-Ultra, a double jointed bit specifically designed for the anatomy of the horse’s mouth. Sprenger Ultra Bits utilise the tongue's sense of touch, while avoiding pressure on the soft palate. The angle of the link is 45 degrees ensuring that when the reins are used the rounded link rests fully on the tongue without squeezing it. The KK-Ultra gives clear instruction as the tongue's sense of pressure is taken into consideration.

Developed by Lisa Wilcox and Ernst Hoyos together with Sprenger is a double jointed bit that features a unique roller in the centre section.
Lisa Wilcox: "This unique roller provides a gentle stimulation to the tongue, which encourages the horse to chew, promoting salivation, allowing the acceptance of the bit therefore the relaxation of the jaw. It has been Ernst and my experience that through this gentle stimulation our horses learn more quickly to accept the bit softening their entire top-line enabling us to perform the movements with more relaxation, throughness and ultimately more harmony."

A new variation on the approved Ultra bits: the centre section is covered with a soft but tough rubber cover. The WH Ultra Soft Snaffle helps introduce a horse more easily to the bit. The aids given with the reins are carefully directed to the horses tongue, encouraging the horse to chew, promoting salivation and resulting in relaxed and contented horses. This bit helps to prevent tongue problems and teeth grinding in an ideal way.
