Most performance horses risk serious damage to joint structures at some time. The use of JOINT GUARD as a daily supplement in the diet provides added cartilage protection, by allowing cartilage components to rapidly and effectively repair and maintain their structure in the face of hard physical work and trauma. The components in JOINT GUARD also effectively reduce the likelihood of further cartilage breakdown following the release of destructive enzymes which occurs after trauma to cartilage. This action is chondroprotective (joint protective). Where existing joint cartilage damage already exists, JOINT GUARD may help feed and stimulate cartilage repair.

JOINT GUARD provides raw materials and co-factors necessary for cartilage repair and maintenance. JOINT GUARD is designed for daily administration in the diet to help prevent cartilage degeneration by supplying all critical components on a daily basis. It is formulated for regular, in-feed administration. Research trials on combinations of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Manganese and Vitamin C report a significant synergy between these components, and a chondroprotective (joint protective) effect, as well as a mild anti-inflammatory effect following regular administration. The essential components in JOINT GUARD serve to both reduce cartilage degeneration, and stimulate production of healthy cartilage matrix.

Glucosamine Hydrochloride - stimulates the formation of of synovial (joint) fluid and the cartliage matrix
Chondroitin Sulphate - provides protection from the enzymes which break down cartilage, and is the major component in cartilage.

JOINT GUARD provides all of the essential raw mineral and cofactors necessary for cartilage repair and maintenance.  It is formulated specifically for regular, cost-effective low dose and administration. 1.5kg of JOINT GUARD contains 7.5 days supply at the treatment dose, or 37.5 days supply at the maintenance dose.

Dosage & Administration:

Initial Administration:  5 level scoops am & pm (500kg adult horse).

Transitional Period:  Do not lower the dosage until the horse has begun to respond.  After the horse has achieved a good response, reduce the daily dosage by 1 level scoop each month.  Reducing the horses dosage in this manner will help find the individual maintenance level more easily.  Always watch the animal's weekly transition.  Dosage may be increased at any time if needed.

Maintenance Administration:  1 level scoop am & pm (500kg adult horse)

Add powder to moistened feed.  1 level scoop holds 20g.
