Horse Talk TV Launches October 14th

Only 4 weeks to go till Horse Talk TV hits Australian TV Screens! Horse Talk TV, an exciting, new, locally produced television program is soon to hit Australian TV screens, launching on 14th October at 7pm.

The weekly, half-hour, magazine-style program is made for horse lovers, by horse lovers. Horse Talk TV will cover all the high-profile horse sports from dressage to reining plus other, more unusual horse-related activities; like trick riding and liberty horses and for something completely different, a spot of jousting!

There will also be "Ask-the-Expert" editorials where industry experts give viewers the latest in horse health, new products and regular educational tips in the "Tip of the Week" segment. Horse Talk TV has been warmly welcomed by the horse industry across Australia.

At last! horse sports and horse activities will get the much needed opportunity for national exposure on free to air TV. The new show for horse lovers can be seen on Channel 31 in Sydney (TVS), Melbourne (C31), Brisbane (QCTV) and Adelaide (C31) with WTV Perth following later in the year. For regional viewers Horse Talk TV will be streamed live on the TVS web (Welcome to - TVS - Television Sydney) site and screened episodes can also be watched on the C31 Melbourne web site (Welcome to Channel 31).

Horse Talk TV is also offering a DVD subscription of the series for regional viewers. With Horse Talk's interactive website, there's a lot more than a weekly half hour show to hang out for. The Horse Talk TV website will run video podcasts of segments from each program following airing - how convenient!

Viewers can also enter into competitions such as "Make My Horse A Star" by sending in a short video of their horse or write in to ask a horse care question to have the chance for their question to feature in Horse Talk TV's "Tip of the Week". The site also includes a members' page where members can upload their favourite You Tube videos to share with other horse enthusiasts. Individual grand prix freestyle:Dutch take all in historic battle The Dutch proved untouchable in the individual grand prix freestyle of the Windsor European Championships 2009. They had threatened it in previous rounds and in the final dressage competition the music specialists ran away with the show; for the first time in the history of the sport, one country achieved a clean sweep of the medals. The gold medal went to the sensational combination of Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas who smashed their previous world record for an incredible score of 90.75%. Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival took silver on 87.35% and Anky van Grunsven, denied an individual medal in the special, came home in bronze medal position with 87.25%. read more from www.britishdressage.co.uk

New standards for the microchipping of horses in Victoria

The Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animals Act 1994 will be renamed to be the Domestic Animals Act 1994 The supporting Regulations will also be renamed the Domestic Animals Regulations 2005. The changes to the Regulations introduce New standards for the microchipping of horses in Victoria The Domestic Animals Regulations 2005, previously named the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animals Regulations 2005, have been amended to provide standards for the microchipping of horses.
